Communication & Staying Informed
I believe that strong communication between home and school is one of the keys to student success. There are several ways to stay informed throughout the school year.

Per district policy, I will respond to all emails within 24–48 hours. If you email over the weekend or during a school holiday, I will respond as soon as possible on the next school day.
Stay Up to Date
There are several ways to keep track of assignments, assessments, projects, and important dates:

PowerSchool – Our online gradebook is the best place to view assignments, due dates, late due dates, grades, and teacher feedback. Assignment descriptions will be updated throughout the school year, and feedback will be provided to help students understand their mistakes and prepare for retakes.

Weekly Newsletter/Weekly Blasts – Each week, I will email a newsletter to students and families with upcoming assignments, assessments, projects, important reminders, and classroom updates. Please check your email regularly so you don't miss important information.

Canvas – Students can access certain class materials, assignments, and resources anytime through Canvas. Other assignments, such as labs, hands on activities, and discussions may not be accessible through Canvas. Always come see me if you have questions.

Parent Teacher Conferences - Parent-teacher conferences are an important opportunity for parents, students, and teachers to reflect on student growth and celebrate progress being made in the classroom. Conferences will be held in October and February. While these scheduled meetings are a valuable tool for communication, we encourage parents to reach out throughout the school year with any questions, comments, or concerns. Open communication helps us work together to support your child's success, and we hope any concerns are addressed well before conference time.
