Welcome to 8th Grade!
The 8th grade team is excited for the school year, and looking forward to a productive and fun-filled year. Please make sure you and your student review the school handbook so that they are aware of the expectations.
If you have not been receiving our email blasts, please update your email with the school registrar at amy.mcclure@dvusd.org - include your child's full name, your name, and updated email address.

It is important to regularly check up and monitor your grades, so please log-in regularly to the Powerschools grading system. You can pick up your parent log-in at the front office from our registrar!

Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences
Thursday, October 6, 2022
Dear Parents and Guardians:
In order to meet the needs of our diverse population of students and families, we are scheduling team conferences for Thursday, October 6th from 1:00-4:30 pm with parents of students for whom we have academic or behavioral concerns.
If a scheduled conference is needed, teachers will reach out to you. Teachers will not be available from 4:30-5:00pm on 10/6 while they take a break for an early dinner.
We will also have an Open-House from 5:00 – 6:45 pm
Parent Teacher Conferences are in person, however, Zoom can still be an option for those parents that prefer to have a virtual conference.
If you are not available on 10/6/22 and would still like to meet with the 8th grade team, please contact Mrs. DeGeorge at milissa.degeorge@dvusd.org to schedule a conference.
Please note: Mrs. DeGeorge will not be available after 4:30pm, if you need a conference with Mrs. DeGeorge specifically, please contact her directly to schedule a conference before or after October 6th.
Additionally, we have email conferences available for any parent unable to attend conferences.
