Extracurricular & Athletics Eligibility
Students participating in athletics and extracurricular activities must maintain a D or higher in all classes. Grades are checked weekly throughout the season or activity period.
- First F: Student is placed on Pending Status and may continue to participate in practices, games, and activities.
- Second F: Student becomes Ineligible and may attend practices or meetings but may not participate in games, competitions, performances, or other extracurricular events.
- Third F: Student is removed from the team or activity for the remainder of the season or activity period under the district's three-strike rule.
Students may regain eligibility when grades improve and verification is provided to the coach, advisor, or athletic coordinator. All students begin each quarter academically eligible. Weekly grade checks resume during the third week of the new quarter.
Additional eligibility requirements:
- Students assigned On-Campus Reassignment (OCR) or suspension may not participate in athletics or extracurricular activities during the disciplinary period.
- Students who are medically restricted from participating in Physical Education may also be restricted from athletic participation as indicated by medical documentation.
Eligibility status is reviewed based on academic performance, attendance, and behavior patterns. Repeated or ongoing behavior concerns may impact a student's eligibility status.
