Born and raised in the United Kingdom, I moved to the U.S. in 2001 at the age of 8. I completed most of my elementary and secondary education in the Deer Valley District, attending Legend Springs, Hillcrest, and Mountain Ridge, before finishing high school in Connecticut.
I graduated from Arizona State University in 2016 with a B.A. in History and later returned to earn my teaching certificate.
As a student, I struggled in classes I wasn’t personally invested in, which helps me relate to students who face similar challenges. I believe history comes alive or falls flat based on how it’s taught, and I take seriously the responsibility to make it engaging and meaningful for my students.
